The nights are drawing in and the weather forecast is using words such as dreary and dull. I’ve started to spend bits of my day dreaming about where we could go on our honeymoon next year. These are some of the best family friendly websites that I have found. The sites I have included in this post are not the cheapest out there but the ones that have thought of everything for families and offer all the extra things one would expect for a very special holiday. (I will be doing another post with cheaper and more alternative holidays soon).
Things that are included in many of these websites are relaxing little touches such as buggies, sterilisers, toys, bikes and scooters all available at your accommodation. Packing for a holiday with young children can be a tricky job. My kids want to take all their toys, 20 books each, a bat mobile, plus many others bits and I need to pack lots of clothes, nappies, wipes, formula and changes of clothes for all eventualities. There are companies who will deliver all these things to your villa or hotel to save you on excess luggage fees at the airport.
1. Baby Friendly Bolt holes
This farmhouse in France is rustic but with all the luxuries. Theres a pool, a sandpit and toys for the kids to keep them busy. Just one of the vast selection available.
2. Smith and Family
On the house childcare is just one of the search criteria on Smith and Family.
3. Kid and Coe
This house in San Fransisco looks like so much fun, its a real family home and comes with stunning interiors.
One of my favourite websites, Globetotting offers ideas for more adventurous destinations such as Burma, Mongolia, Sri Lanka and Vietnam. This is one for a few years time for our family, I am desperate to take them to India, my favourite country.
5. Martinhal, Portugal
Activities for families at this resort in Portugal vary from surfing to soccer academies, a cinema, several pools and an amazing kids club.
6. Tots Too
With a 75% client return rate, they must be doing something very right at Totstoo. There are lots of special touches which make their breaks special.
7. Bedruthan Steps Hotel, Cornwall
With a pirate ship over looking the ocean, kids teas, baby listening and one of the best views in Cornwall, Bedruthan is a favourite of mine.
Kuoni delivers quality holidays at a price you would expect from such a company. We would love to take the children on safari when they are a little older.
Happy searching or if you are like me then happy daydreaming!
