Swan watching and a bear hunt

This morning we set off to beautiful Arundel. By 9am the boys are usually fighting over toys and we have learnt to either split them up or all go out of the house.

We found a stream and sat watching a family of swans. The boys were mesmerised and were so quiet in case they frightened them away it was the perfect cure for my slight hangover this morning!

On the way home we headed to Angmering Park Estate. The woods were so stunning and we spotted lots of horse and bike riders which was fun for the boys to watch.

Cody just wants to be carried at the moment because he’s scared that the Gruffalois hiding…. The walk didn’t last too long due to Dans back but it was enough to tire the boys out for the rest of the day and work up enough of an appetite for a Sunday roast.

Today reminded me that the family best days for us are the ones with no toys, no shops, no swings or slides but just nature and our imaginations.

These are days when the boys get on the best as there are always enough sticks and trees to play with and the usual wanting more more more is out. This makes me happy.
